Hair Tracker FAQ

How does the Hair Length Tracker store my measurements?

All data entered into this tracker is stored 100% privately in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). Your measurements are never sent to external servers or stored in any cloud database.

How often should I measure and log my hair growth?

Because hair grows approximately 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) per month, measuring once every 4 to 8 weeks is ideal. Measuring too frequently (e.g. daily or weekly) introduces measurement noise caused by moisture, posture, or curl variation.

How should I measure my hair consistently?

Use a soft fabric measuring tape. Hold the "0" mark at your front hairline (or crown vertex), drape the tape over the curve of your head down your back, and pull a single representative strand straight to record the reading.

Can I export or backup my hair tracking history?

Yes. Click the "Export to CSV" button to download a spreadsheet file containing all your logged dates, measurements, and notes for permanent offline safekeeping.
